ITS amplification products from all seven Hypericum samples were included as templates in a multiplex PCR. The multiplex panel composition is described in Table2. The species-specific products from all of the four target species are shown (H. androsaemum, 67 bp; H. athoum, 131 bp; H. perforatum, 222 bp; and H. ascyron, 231 bp), each being automatically identified using the GeneMapper software.
