AKQ reduces plasma viral loads in chronically SHIV89.6-infected Ch-RMs. Nine SHIV89.6-infected Ch-RMs were randomly divided into three groups (n = 3 per group), and treated with 1.65 g/kg/day AKQ (a), 0.55 g/kg/day AKQ (b), or placebo (c) for 8 weeks.
