Expression of HMGB-1 and TLR4 in lung of IAV-infected mice. Lung tissues of IAV-infected mice were harvested, fixed in formalin, and embedded in paraffin and processed for slices preparation. a The slides were incubated with relative antibodies against HMGB-1 and TLR4, stained with chromogenic substrate solution and counterstained with hematoxylin. The immuno-histochemical (×200) of expression of HMGB-1 and TLR4 in lung of IAV-infected mice were visualized under a microscope. b The expression of HMGB-1 and TLR4 were assessed by semi-quantitative analysis using ImageJ software. The levels of HMGB-1 or TLR4 were expressed as average optical value (AOD). AOD = Integrative density of optical value / Aera. Data were expressed as mean ± S.D.
