Effects of QSG on regulating glucose metabolism by 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT in HF rats after AMI. a Representative images of different slices of rat hearts were shown in transaxial, coronal and sagittal sections. Abnormally high signals marked with red arrows was noticeable in the model group, indicating that glucose was accumulated abnormally in periinfarct area in HF model rats. The accumulating glucose was significantly metabolized with QSG treatment evidenced by the weakened abnormal signals. b Statistical analysis of SUV achieved from 18F-FDG PET scans in the three groups. SUVmean, SUVmax, and SUVmin of LV and global heart in the model group were significantly higher than sham group. QSG could restore abnormal metabolism by reducing SUVmean, SUVmax, and SUVmin of LV and SUVmean and SUVmax of global heart. n = 6 per group. Values are mean ± SE.
