Animal experimental protocol. After 1-week acclimation, the mice were randomly divided into three groups: control group, model group and WMW group. Control group: The mice were subjected to 50% ethanol intracolonic administration and treatment with 0.9% saline. Model group: The mice were subjected to TNBS intracolonic administrations and treatment with 0.9% saline. WMW group: The mice were subjected to TNBS intracolonic administrations and treatment with WMW. All mice were gavaged daily started with the first intracolonic administration induction and continued until the end of the study
