Alleviation effects of Shaoyao Decoction (SYD) on 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitis in rats. Rats was colonic administrated with TNBS to induce colitis model. A hematoxylin and eosin (HE)-staining analysis of rats colonic tissue was performed. Effects of SYD on B colon length, C body weight, D food intake, E disease activity index, F rectal bleeding score, and G stool consistency score in rats with colitis were measured. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD. **P < 0.01 compared with the sham group (n = 6); ##P < 0.01 compared with the TNBS control group (n = 7).
