From: Astragaloside IV ameliorates experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis by regulating CD4 + T cells and altering gut microbiota

Fig. 3Fig. 3

AS-IV altered CD4 + T cell subsets distribution and cytokines secretion in vivo. The serum were obtained from mice of CFA, EAMG, EAMG + AS-IV groups after 8 weeks post immunization, and cytokines levels of TGF-β, IFN-γ, and IL-17 were detected by ELISA (A). Mononuclear cells (MNCs) of the spleens and thymus were isolated from mice in three groups after 8 weeks post immunization. CD4 + Foxp3 + (Treg) cells, CD4 + IFN-γ + (Th1) cells, and CD4 + IL-17 + (Th17) cells were detected by flow cytometry (B, D). The percentages of Treg, Th1 and Th17 cells in MNCs were calculated C, E, n = 3/group. The data are representative of three independent experiments (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, ****p < 0.0001)
