Western blot analysis of CYP2E1 levels in rat liver. The expression level of CYP2E1 was detected by western blot analysis of protein samples from rat liver. Rats were treated with olive oil (lane 1, untreated), CCl₄ + saline (lane 2, control), CCl₄ + silymarin 50 mg/kg BW (lane 3, silymarin) and CCl₄ + CIF 50 mg/kg BW (lane 4, HCIF) for 7 days. All hepatotoxicity was induced in rats with 1 mg/kg body weight of CCl₄. All bands were quantified by densitometric analysis. ^*P < 0.05 and ^**P < 0.01, significantly different from the control group. ^#P < 0.01, significantly different from the untreated group.
